Ollie

Doing an ollie on a skimboard, a somewhat impressive one at least, requires a small wave. To do it: Ride towards a small wave or ripple. Once you reach the ripple, push down on the back of your board quickly (as if snapping the tail down on a skateboard). Slide your front foot up about 6 inches. Doing this should prop your board up a foot or two in the air. After you land, you can continue riding. Once you get really good, you should be able to bust some crazy air. I've seen people ollie over cones, and YES, on a skimboard!

Shove It

The shove it is used by beginners and pros, although it's one of the easier tricks to learn. To do a basic shove it: While riding, push the front end of the board out in one direction, and the back end of the board in the other; while jumping simultaneously. The purpose is to get the board to spin 180 degrees beneath your feet while you stay facing the same direction. You should land on your board riding it backwards. Similar to the 360, this trick can be done off waves or used as an 'extra', after a wave has died.

360

There are two kinds of 360's. The first kind we will describe is the basic 'on-sand' 360. To do the basic 360: Start skimming parallel to the ocean. Bend over and drag your fingers through the sand until your board starts to spin. Once you've done a complete circle, slide out, and ride away; or just keep spinning. The more advanced 360 takes place out in the water, and can be done off a wave. Skim out towards a wave like you normally would. When you hit the wave, hold the board to your feet while thrusting your body around 360 degrees.

Wrap

To do a wrap: Run straight towards the water with board in hand. Step onto your board like you normally would. Approach the oncoming wave at a slight angle so you have enough room to perform the wrap. Just as you hit the wave, grab a handful of water. Then use your momentum to turn the board around. You should now be facing the shore. From here simply ride the wave into shore.

Superman

To do the Superman: Run and hop onto your board as you normally would. While you are skimming, slowly place your left hand on the left side of your board and your right hand on the right side of your board. Place your feet on the back of the board like you are facing down in the top of the "sit up" position. As smoothly as possible, flatten your self out so your stomach is laying on the skimboard and your arms are facing out strait, similar to how superman flies.

Coffin

While you are skimming, slowly place your left hand on the left side of your board and your right hand on the right side of your board, and move your feet to the front. At this point you should look like you are in the "crab" position. As smoothly as possible, flatten your self out so your back is laying on the skimboard and your feet are facing straight out.
